THE
COCKROACH AND THE LIZARD
Late night a Cockroach,
High on Party mood,
Sick of Routine Rottens,
Craved for bounty Food
Encroaching
upon
A ritzy
cuisine
A bin
smelling of cheese
He did
preen
He climbed up the dome
Searching for a slit
A scampering Lizard
Robbed off his blithe
The
pest ran for life
But the
Lizard was swift
It
gorged his buttock
Not
letting him drift
To get free
He wriggled hard
His wings twitched
Oozed out lard
When
betting on might
Went in
vain
He
thought, better would be
To
imply brain
‘Sincere in work
Like you are few
O’ Lizard dear
Hats off to you
For man may be
The ace creature
He never obeyed
The law of nature
Air, Soil, Water
He spoils Everythin’
Sure, the Earth will be
More beautiful without him
Humans have no compassion
They just live for fun
Greedy for land and gold
They fight with gun.
They rape their females
Whom else they’d be kind?
Neither Serpents, nor Eagles,
Man is the cruel
est fiend.
A conference of insects
The other day I attended
Enough of Human Race
A war we all intended
You prey on insects
And guard their rooms
I pity
for you’re
Unpaid living brooms
Roach’s
political speech,
Lizard did
find appealing
He loosened
his jaw
Soaking in the
messy feeling
Pest jumped out and reeled
‘Now we are friends
Let’s shake hands
It’s time to make amends’
‘Don’t
catch ever again
The insects that invade
We’re men’s enemy
Join you this crusade’
Liz sighed and replied
You’re so very right.
Count me in
For this noble Fight
Together
we’ll
Protect
the mother Earth.
Man is
indocile evil
Will
never know the worth
The eavesdropping landlord
Felt utterly denounced
Though it was just a trick
But gravely pronounced.
